You Are Not Fit To Lick Professor Wole Soyinka’s Shoes – Fani-Kayode Disgraces President Buhari Before The World

Femi Fani-Kayode, a former Aviation Minister, has condemned President Muhammadu Buhari, over the Presidency’s latest comments against Nobel Laureate, Professor Wole Soyinka.

Soyinka, had criticised Buhari over the lockdown of Abuja, Lagos and Ogun States.

Buhari, on Sunday, ordered the 14-day lockdown, in a bid to tackle the spread of Covid-19 in the country.

However, the Nobel Laureate had described the lockdown as unconstitutional.

Reacting, Buhari’s Spokesperson, Garba Shehu, urged Nigerians to shun Professors of literary writings, and rely on information from Scientists and Medical Experts, on issues concerning the disease.

Fani-Kayode, however, responding to the Presidency’s statement on Professor Soyinka, said that President Buhari is not even “fit to lick” Soyinka’s shoes.

In a tweet, the former Minister wrote: “When he supported you in 2015, you hailed and praised him. Now that he has criticised you publicly, about your handling of the Covid-19 pandemic, you call him a “mere fiction writer” that “no-one should listen to”. That is a Nobel Laureate: a man whose shoes you are not fit to lick.”
