Covid-19: America Sets Another World Record With Coronavirus Deaths In 24-Hours, Hits Nearly 2,000, For The Second Day In A Row

In what could easily be described as one of the worst days in the history of the United States, US, the nation has recorded nearly 2,000 deaths from the novel coronavirus, for the second day in a row, according to a tally by Johns Hopkins University, as at 8:30pm, on Wednesday, US time.

The new record breaking figure of 1,973 deaths, which is slightly higher than that of the  previous day’s toll of 1,939, now brings the total number of US coronavirus fatalities to 14,695.

The US death toll now exceeds that of Spain, which has suffered 14,555 deaths, but has not surpassed Italy, whose toll stands at 17,669.
