ASUU Calls On All Federal University Students To Prepare For Resumption, Expresses Hope For A Positive Outcome On Wednesday

The Academic Staff Union of Universities, ASUU, has on Sunday, called on University Students in the country, to prepare for resumption, as they meet with the President Muhammadu Buhari Federal Government, one more time, on Wednesday.

ASUU said this on its official Twitter page, expressing hope for an agreement with the Federal Government.

The Union expressed optimism that Students would return to the Universities, after its meeting with the Federal Government.

It tweeted: “All Federal University Students should prepare for resumption, as we expect a positive outcome from ASUU on Wednesday.”

This is coming after the Minister of Labour and Employment, Chris Ngige, on Friday, expressed hope that an agreement with the Union will be concluded next week, adding that, if the meeting fails, the Federal Government will have to invoke the Labour Laws, to force ASUU to end the prolonged strike.
