US Police Chief Bans Public Access To Capital Grounds During Joe Biden’s Inauguration, As Several Police Officers Face Suspension

There will be no public access to the Capitol grounds in the United States of America, USA, during President-Elect, Joe Biden’s inauguration on January 20, 2020, Ating Capitol Police Chief, Yogananda Pittman, has announced on Tuesday. 

Pittman took over the leadership from Steven Sund, after he stepped down amid criticism of the Force’s handling of rioters who breached the Capitol building, last week.

She said that some Law Enforcement Agents from the Federal, State, and Local Levels, are working together; and that comprehensive and coordinated plans are in place to ensure safety.

Several Police Officers have also been suspended, as investigations into the January 6, 2020, violent attack of the Capitol, continue, she noted.
