All 7 Officers of the Nigerian Air Force, NAF, have on Sunday, lost their lives, when a Military aircraft they boarded from Abuja, heading to Minna, the Niger State capital, crashed minutes after take-off, Page 36 learnt.
The aircraft was said to have reported an engine failure, and crashed on the final approach path of the Abuja runway.
It fell after hitting a mango tree, according to witnesses.
Page 36 has obtained a list containing 6 of the 7 Officers who boarded the ill-fated aircraft.
Below are the names:
Flight Lieutenant Haruna Gadzama, Captain; Flight Lieutenant Henry Piyo, co-Pilot; Flying Officer Micheal Okpara, Airborne Tactical Observation System Specialist; Warrant Officer Bassey Etim, ATOS Specialist; Flight Sergeant Olasunkanmi Olawunmi, ATOS Specialist; Sergeant Ugochukwu Oluka, ATOS Specialist; and Aircraftman Adewale Johnson, Onboard Technician.
