Imo State Governor, Hope Uzodinma, Gives Up After Victory From The Supreme Court, Says He Cannot Defeat The Insecurity Alone, Calls On Other Leaders

The Governor of Imo State, Hope Uzodinma, has on Tuesday, inferred that he alone cannot defeat the rising insecurity in his State and the country, calling on other Leaders to join in the fight against insecurity, Page 36 learnt.

He made the call while addressing Journalists, after a meeting with President Muhammadu Buhari, at the Aso Rock Presidential Villa, in Abuja.

The Governor called on Stakeholders in the country, including Traditional Rulers, Religious Leaders, and Politicians, to engage more with security issues, in order to bring peace back to the country.

He also stated that former Political Office holders who have failed to speak out against the security crisis in the country, have questions to answer.

His exact words: “Anybody worth his onions as a Leader should be able to speak out. How many of them are speaking out, how many of them are speaking out.

“How many of them are condemning what is going on. rather what you see is Leaders fanning the embers of insecurity.”
