President Muhammadu Buhari, has said that his administration will organise the Police and the Military to pursue the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, Page 36 learnt.
President Buhari said this in an interview with Arise TV, on Thursday morning, noting that IPOB does not know what it is doing.
His exact words: “IPOB is just like a dot in a circle. Even if they want to exit, they will have no access to anywhere.
“And the way they are spread all over the country, having businesses and properties, I do not think IPOB knows what they are talking about.
“In any case, we say we will talk to them in the language that they understand. We will organise the Police and the Military to pursue them.”
He noted that he was encouraged by the comments of two elderly people and youths in the South-South, regarding IPOB.
The President’s comments did not douse the tension in the South-East, as he tended to regard anybody from the region as a member of IPOB, a group he has proscribed as terrorists, an Analysts said
The President, speaking further, stated that he is fair on his appointments, and the South-East region is not being marginalised.
He said: “Are South-East not in Civil Service? You have to go through the Civil Service and see if there are no South-East persons in Civil Service.”
