The 2023 Presidential Candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Atiku Abubakar, seems to be getting a lot of support from Nigerians for his 2023 Presidential ambition, despite the recent setbacks within his party, Page 36 learnt.
Nonetheless the perceived disunity within the PDP, especially at a time the former Vice President is assuring Nigerians that he is the ‘Unifier’ Nigerians need for real progress and great transformation in 2023 and beyond, a great number of his supporters have continued to stand firmly with him in belief that he is indeed the ‘Unifier’ Nigeria and Nigerians need, come 2023.
This comes amid the announcement on Wednesday, by the Team of the aggrieved Governor of Rivers State, Nyesom Wike, that they will not be party of the PDP 2023 Presidential Campaign Council, unless the incumbent National Chairman of the party, a Northerner, is sacked or resigns, for a Southerner to take over.
Recall, that Atiku reacted to their decision, stating clearly that he cannot singlehandedly remove the National Chairman of the PDP, and that due legal process must be followed for his removal and replacement. He also called for peace and unity within the party, to ensure his victory in the 2023 Presidential poll, for the good of all Nigerians that truly love the country and want the best for her.
Reacting however, to the news of Governor Wike’s Team pulling out of the PDP Presidential Campaign Council, some Nigerians declared their support for Atiku in the comment section on Page 36’s Facebook page.
